Yosemite National Park: VACATION

My family and I are in Yosemite National Park for our family vacation this year, and what a beautiful place.
I am in awe of the waterfalls, huge rock formations and beautiful scenery.
We have spent a lot of time in the Merced River, not swimming beacause it is ICE cold, but jumping off of rocks and dipping in for a brief moment only to run out so that your legs and toes do not go numb. We also ride our bikes everywhere, I have to say I feel like I am 12 years old again with the wind blowing in my hair wipping around corners and flying down hills. This is awesome!
We have seen 1 bear (there is a story that goes along with it, I will tell you later), lots of deer, and other small rodents.
The girls are loving it, especially the dirt :-).

We will make our venture home here in a couple of days and I can say that I will be ready for the comfort of our home and usual surroundings.

I look forward to the dance camp at the end of this month and also to see all of you this coming fall. What a great summer so far. I hope each of you are enjoying yours as well.

The picture above is of myself and a good friend Jenny. We hiked up to Yosemite Falls, so amazing. I am still sore :-).

Love you all,

Reaching Out Into Our Community

As I was driving to the community performance today in Junction City I was tired, and a little stressed. I was thinking to myself why did I schedule a community performance the day after the spring recital, WHAT WAS I THINKING?
BUT...When I got there it all made sense. Our community needs us, needs Jesus and the love He freely gives. When I saw the residents and the joy on their faces I did not want to be anywhere else. When children dance for Jesus they speak words that no one else could say, and the love of God is shown. God is glorified, and hearts are touched, including mine :-).
I look forward to the next community performance, and to see each of you.
